Soak up the cloudy mineral spa water, as you soak in the mountain views. If Iceland is a destination for you, you cannot miss out on the wonders of the Blue Lagoon.
What is it?
The Blue Lagoon, considered one of the wonders of the world, is a Geothermal Water Spa. It’s heated naturally by the earth ranging 99-102° F (37-39°C). The Blue Lagoon is full of minerals such as silica and algae.
What to expect:
*The utmost relaxation*
The Blue Lagoon holds 9 million liters and offers plenty of space to swim around, mingle and relax.
The spa’s mineral rich water is good for the skin and has been proven to cure psoriasis.
Dry Hair- The water can dry out your hair. They will provide you with conditioner that will protect it if you don’t bring your own. The staff there suggests to wrap or tie your hair up in a bun and not allow it to touch the water. Remember to condition post visit too.
Swim up bar- You’ll receive a waterproof wristband that tracks your spend while you indulge. The swim up bar offers beer, wine, smoothies, soda and water. (There is a two alcoholic drink minimum per person.)
Window shop, test, or take home
Inside the Blue Lagoon building is a Natural Skincare shop full of products that contain the minerals found in the water. (I personally LOVE the Blue Lagoon 15 SPF Face Lotion. https://shop-usa.bluelagoon.com. ) Test out the products or take them home with you!
